That’s awkward.
I was so surprised by this post, I rang DOTAG in W.A to check. They confirmed that this Australian Commonwealth AG information is up-to-date , & is correct.
“This means, for example, that a person cannot marry their parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, brother or sister. However, (depending of course on the gender of the party) a person may marry their aunt or uncle, niece or nephew or ‘first’ cousin.”

Not only this, but the US, who I have in the past made rude comments about having backwards hillbilly states allowing cousins to marry, is the only Western country that specifically prohibits marriage between first cousins in some states.
I apologise, USA. Mind: blown / horrified

One artist I could shoot all day, everyday is P!nk. She’s energetic, attitude-ridden and one hell of a performer. She throws herself into every gig, and even in Australia (where she performed an incredible 58 shows on her last tour), she plays every audience and show with the enthusiasm she would have had for her first.

In mid-2008, when I still worked at Mushroom, I was invited into the boardroom to listen to a few new tracks The Temper Trap had been working on. One of those songs was ‘Sweet Disposition’ - a track that became inescapable through 2009 & 2010.
A few months after the listening session I found myself in a shed at Docklands, watching The Temper Trap shoot their first video for ‘Sweet Disposition’ (second and third videos were shot in 2009 and 2010). It was 2am on a Saturday and freezing. Suffice to say, I didn’t last too long.
